Tows/Facilities

Lifts

The Tyndall Tramway (our unique alpine rail transports you and your gear from the car park to accommodation lodges and ticket office. Five electric rope tows service two large bowls, Broken River Basin and Allan's Basin, which have fantastic off-piste terrain for everyone.

The learners tows service the flatter areas at the base of the main Broken River Basin near Palmer Lodge.

Our lifts operate from 9.00 am until 4.30 pm daily. The Tyndall Tramway operates from 8.30-11.30 am and from 3.30-5.30 pm.

If you haven't used a rope tow before our friendly staff will help you get started. Watch our Broken River Arrival Video for some additional rope tow instruction.

Terrain

Broken River Basin is our main bowl with our day lodge and five electric rope tows. The lower slopes and learners areas are groomed. The natural berms and undulations mid-slope provide great natural terrain park opportunities. We also have rails which are very popular.

Allan's Basin is a patrolled bowl with a backcountry atmosphere - 100% off-piste and natural: no tows, few people and great long powder runs.

Instruction

Our internationally-trained ski and snowboard instructors provide group and one-on-one private instruction. These are available to anyone. Our special 6 night/7 day ski week Catered package includes 3 complimentary one-hour group lessons. Check out details of our snow school here.
