July Family Weeks 2011

1.75 m of new snow arrived just in time for our family weeks. The conditions were ideal with packed powder for both weeks. Much fun was had by all and we skied every day. Everyone’s skiing improved in leaps and bounds. Rodger and Emily gave us all excellent lessons – thanks guys.

The first week was predominantly a “teenager week” - big air, snow ball fights, trips into Allan’s Basin, saunas, and evening jumps off the road above Lyndon Lodge. The keen ones skied down to Hanomag carpark at the end of each day and caught the Tram back up to the lodges. What a great way to end the day!

The second week was mostly primary school aged kids. Again much fun was had by everyone with new friendships formed, lots of skiing around Broken River and Allan’s Basin, success mastering the tow, social times in the lodges, trips to the sauna and a teddy bear’s picnic on the Friday.
